I really just wanted to get that big travel journal off my profile page. I have been hiking and 'scrambling' all summer (scrambling is the mountaineering term for non-technical summit climbs). Thats it, I have little to say. I'll put up a picture of my favorite sramble of the summer, Kaleetan Peak, in the Washington Cascade range.

Hi folks, I'm back from Africa. Sorry, I had to delete the deviations in my account, there were just too many to sort through after a month on the road.
I've posted a gallery of photos at http://www.weepingcherry.com/Africa . We traveled overland from Capetown to Victoria Falls, Zambia, via Namibia and Botswana. I may post my jounal entries from the trip here just because it was an interesting cultural experience, particulaly South Africa, which was nothing like I expected.

No overseas trips for 2 years now..farthest from home we've gotten is North Carolina this summer..went up to Pinehurst. More of a golf trip than a photo trip though
